At St. Louis School, students have the option to choose between the Italian or British streams from Elementary to Middle School. The British stream follows the English National Curriculum, while the Italian stream combines the best elements of both the English and Italian curricula, offering a unique and enriched educational experience. This approach provides students with the flexibility to benefit from both national educational systems.

Supportive teachers assist young students in their exciting transition into Elementary education so that each child gains the academic, social, linguistic and technological skills to flourish as independent and confident students.

Once our students begin High school, from IGCSE to the IB Diploma Programme, the two streams will merge into the English stream only.

Italian programme equivalent

St. Louis offers a range of opportunities for students seeking national ministerial certifications:

  • The Elementary School holds the official "Scuola Paritaria" status, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education;
  • At the end of Year 9, students have the option to sit for the Italian Terza Media exams;
  • In Year 13, with careful selection of their Diploma Programme subjects, students can choose pathways that enable them to obtain the national Diploma equivalent, Esame di stato, officially recognized by MIUR.
