New Campus Opening
St. Louis School secures magnificent site for senior students.
St. Louis School in Milan is pleased to announce that the Palazzo Archinto, a magnificent historic building located in via Olmetto, will accommodate all senior school students from Years 10-13 as of September 2019. Designed by architect Francesco Maria Ricini in the 17th century, and situated in the centre of Milan, the Palazzo provides the perfect learning environment for students of this age, blending state-of-the art educational facilities within historic surroundings. Most of the classrooms will face out onto the Palazzo’s beautiful and original eighteenth century courtyard and gardens. The building is also conveniently located between the other two St. Louis campuses.
As of next September, Palazzo Archinto will thus accommodate all senior students from both Milan campuses. Both the via Caviglia and via Colonna schools will continue to take students from the early years up to the end of middle school (Year 9) before they embark on their final phase of learning at the Palazzo.
During the two years since St Louis School joined the Inspired Group, a number of exciting developments have taken place:
The school’s original Caviglia campus was upgraded with air conditioning, while the early years section and entire school playground were extensively refurbished to substantially improve the learning environment.
The former Padre Beccaro in via Colonna was transformed into a second campus – which includes a Boarding residence. The current student roll of over 500 students at the start of only its second year is clear proof of the new school’s success and the strength of the St Louis brand as a whole.
In addition, the school was able to attract highly renowned and experienced School Director, Rossella Cosso, to succeed Luciana Vescovi in order to ensure that all these exciting developments are overseen with great care, experience and expertise.
Inspired is very proud that St Louis has again this year achieved the top IB ranking in continental Europe; and we look forward to providing the opportunity for still more students each year to benefit from such an excellent preparation for university and beyond.
