CAVIGLIA CAMPUS, MILAN
The Caviglia Campus, situated in the South of Milan, is part of the St. Louis School community providing a friendly, caring, nurturing international environment for the students. At Caviglia we offer the highest standards of academic studies and pastoral care to children aged 2 to 14 through our Early Years, Primary School and Middle School programmes.
St. Louis School has developed its reputation for high quality education for over 20 years at the Caviglia Campus and in 2017, the school opened a sister campus in Via Marco Antonio Colonna in the North-East of the city where we already host more than 500 students, representing almost 50 nationalities. Our highly skilled staff successfully balance the rigour of the academic curriculum with the care provided to the students through our pastoral care programme.
At the Caviglia Campus we focus on each child as an individual learner, supporting them to learn through active, first-hand learning engagements. The British curriculum forms the basis of a holistic education programme where students are supported:
- To achieve academic excellence by striving to reach their potential.
- To develop socially and emotionally to become caring, committed, globally minded citizens.
- To experience a range of extra-curricular experiences.
- To discover their individual passion - academic, artistic and sporting.
- To become motivated, engaged, enthusiastic, life-long learners.
Our Early Years curriculum, for students aged 2-5, offers full immersion in English, building the personal, social, emotional and language skills essential for the all-round development of the child.
Our curriculum in the Primary and Middle Schools is fully aligned with the British curriculum, but is specifically designed both to support the development of our Italian students as fully bilingual children and to enable our international students to learn both the Italian language and its culture.
The Primary School is fully recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education with the ‘Parità’ status; St. Louis students, therefore, obtain the primary education certificate, ‘Licenza elementare,’ at the end of Year 6, equivalent to ‘Quinta elementare’, without sitting an external examination.
In the Middle School, students who wish to sit the Italian Middle School examinations, ‘Terza media’, are prepared by the school and obtain excellent results year on year.
We believe our programme excites the natural curiosity of the students and we invite you to join the St. Louis School community of learners.
St. Louis Caviglia is a proud member of the Network of European Blue Schools.
